serves my needs well
This was my Christmas gift last year. I am the only one who drinks coffee at my house, and usually just 2 cups a day. I love flavored coffees. I used to use a small 4 cup with cone shaped filters and I was so tired of having coffee grounds in my coffee every morning, so Santa bought this one. I love it. Simple to use, works fast and I can switch out flavors easily. I buy my coffee thru Amazon subscription so I don't have to worry about trying to find the cups at the stores.
I have noticed that it seems louder than it was when I first got it, but that doesn't bother me. It's only for a minute. The only thing I don't like is that the water container seems small. I wish it was bigger so I didn't have to refill as often.
They sell a K-cup that you can reuse over and over again with your own coffee rather than buying their cups. I have it, I wasn't impressed with it. It's hard to get the grounds out of it when you want to brew another cup. It seems like you have to clean it after every single use. I buy the cups and save myself some aggravation.

BEST COFFEE MACHINE OUT THERE
i love this machine we got the b60 and it makes the perfect cup of coffee and tea the earl grey is amazing perfect to the last drop i weighed out the price and for what i spent throwing my reg coffee machine leftovers out or the whole thing if it didnt taste good plus the coffee i brought while out it was well worth it bjs wholesale has a case of 80 for 32.00 but i do like the variety packs and most of them are fair trade which is even better.

A cup of coffee that is good to the last drop!
This is a totally new way for us to make coffee. We used to a Krups 12-cup auto-maker and have used that for years. But as our coffee drinking has slowed, we started looking at options and found one after a weekend trip at a friend's home. They had a Keurig on their counter and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of flavors available as well as the ease of use. So we bought a B60 model and absolutely love it! A good value product. We have groups of people over for evenings and they like it as well. We use the Krups for decafe and the Keurig for regular since there are less people that want high test coffee after dinner these days. Simple to use and to clean-up, plus we can offer multiple choices of coffee for every taste, any time. We have bought two of the reusable coffee filter units that insert into the Keurig Brewer because the k-cup coffees are expensive by comparison. That way we can get our coffee made in the brewer since it isn't available in the k-cup system as yet.

The Keurig is OVER RATED!
I was at Bed, Bath & Beyond researching these coffee machines to replace my Starbucks Barista one cup/mug coffee maker (that thing makes a mess!). Anyway, there was someone demonstrating the Keurig. She showed me how it worked and made me a cup of coffee. I chose one of those non-popular brands (pumpkin spice), took a sip and wanted to throw it up. It tasted like cheap, truck-stop coffee!
Next to her display area was the Tassimo by Bosch (the newer model). I've already done my homework on this machine and knew that it was the better of the two. Tassimo makes great coffee and more popular brands unlike what Keurig has to offer. I also think that the K pods are clunky with way too much plastic for our landfills. Tassimo made more sense to me. I also like the fact that the Tassimo has a built-in water filter system that tells you when you're low in water. Keurig doesn't have that. All they have is over 130 unpopular coffee brands. Bosch did a great job with their Research & Development (R&D) to re-create this machine. The Braun version of this machine had a lot of problems but Bosch corrected them with this new machine. So, go out and get yourself a Tassimo and don't get the Keurig.

Now that's a good cup of Coffee
If you are in a small office, have different tastes then the rest of your family, or just making one cup at a time then this is the best machine for you. The variety of coffee's, tea's, and hot chocolates made for this machine are top notch. I enjoy being able to have multiple cups a day of different flavors. What can I say this is the perfect coffee maker!!

A good cup of coffee every time
The Good: - This machine makes a great cup of coffee every time. It makes it easy to have your coffee in just a few minutes from when it's turned on and it's always the same. - There are many flavors to choose from. Swiss Chocolate Almond, French Roast, Hazelnut, Organics, Decafs, French Vanilla, Bold, etc. - There is no cleanup. Just open and toss the cup; it couldn't be easier. - It can also provide a cup of hot water pretty fast.
The Bad: - It's loud when priming the water. I can hear it from anywhere in my house when it's pumping. It's a lot of vibration. - It's a little expensive per cup.
Overall, it's a fast, decent cup of coffee and it's the same every time. It ends up being a great conversation piece as well, because everyone will ask you what it is when they see it. You'll end up making a cup for everyone. If you don't mind spending this much and you enjoy a good cup of coffee, then it's not a bad purchase at all.

Happiness - One Cup at a Time
One of the few items I have ever ordered on line. Glad I did. Not only is the coffee maker great, so is the service on shipping and coffee order refills too. My wife enjoys the maker almost as much as a diamond! I doubt you can go wrong with this unit.

Love this coffee maker!
This has become one of my favorite things! I considered getting an instant hot water unit for under my sink because I like to drink tea. However, this unit is so great, I can make tea with my own teabags, getting hot water at any time, and I've been able to go back to drinking decaf coffee during the day without having to brew a pot. It's just a great little invention and it works just as it says it will. I don't mind the noise that others have mentioned. It only lasts a few seconds.

Great for the first 6 months then it quits
I am extremely disatisfied with my Keurig. I loved the company one and loved this one until after 6 months I had problems. I called and was told to descale it and if that didnt help it would be replaced. I did everything and when I called back the tech was rude, acted as if I were an idiot and that it was my fault. I received this as a gift for Christmas 07 so I do not have a receipt of purchase and because the serial number says it was manufactured in dec 06 - feb 07 theres nothing that can be done. When I explained it was a Christmas gift the tech flat out told me I was lieing and it showed purchased dec06-feb07 the next tech explained thats when it was manufactured. I now less than a year after receiving this have a semi working $150 coffee machine taking up spac on my counter. I am severely dissapointed and will make sure I reccomend NOT to buy an Keurig product its not worth the price when it quits after a few months and nothing will be done about it.

Fatal Flaw in Otherwise Solid Product
Many of the reviews mention that the on/off switch doesn't work after a while. Well, mine broke after just 2 days. This is because there is a fatal flaw somewhere in the manufacturing of the product, and the button simply fails at a very high rate. I bought one of these at a department store, and it didn't turn on/off at all. Then I bought another from Amazon, hoping to fix the problem and get a better deal, but now the button on this one has stopped working after TWO DAYS! Since I love the design of the product otherwise, I went to the store, bought a switch, and wired it in myself. It looks horrible, and I've spent about 2 hours dealing with it, but at least it works. Should Cuisinart, an otherwise respectable brand, really be putting this kind of garbage on the market? From the looks of the reviews, this switch is failing very often. I don't write reviews of products as a general practice, but this was so infuriating that I took the time to do so. Don't buy this product unless you want to return it sooner or later because of a broken on/off switch.

Perfect if you're the only coffee drinker in your house....
I really enjoy this little machine - it brews fresh coffee right into my mug (no pot to wash), fits neatly and unobtrusively on my counter and holds enough water to make 2 cups if needed. My only reservation is that the coffee isn't extremely hot - not enough of an issue for me to stop using it, but especially noticeable if milk or cream are added...I sometimes need to reheat the mug before I've finished my coffee.

Not even 2 years old and already shorting out.
I've loved this thermal coffee maker and use it all the time-- so convenient for the person who drinks just one mug of coffee a day. Keeps coffee hot for several hours within the mug, very quickly makes coffee, etc. The easiest one to clean you'll ever see!
However, recently mine has been taking up to half an hour to slowly drip out coffee, and that filled with grounds. I believe it has a short-circuit somewhere within the machine, and it's not worth it to repair it. Too bad-- I got it not even two years ago and I already have to replace it!

On/Off switch did not work
I was not able to brew my first cup of coffee as the on/off switch did not work. I returned the product and am now waiting for credit from Amazon.

Cuisinart Two-to-Go Coffeemaker
While I am satisfied with the product, Amazon's shipping via USPS left much to be desired. I was informed to expect it within 6-7 days, and when it didn't arrive, I called twice three days apart and both Amazon and the postal service couldn't locate it. I was given the choice of cancelling the order and re-ordering it (which was out of stock and would take three more weeks), or simply receive a refund. It finally arrived after 10 days-it only traveled about 150 miles to get here!?

Senseo white coffee maker
We used one of the Senseo coffee makers while we were renting an apartment in Paris this summer. I was hooked, and wanted to buy one when we arrived back in the states. I love this coffeemaker. It is quick, and it makes a great cup of coffee. I would recommend it to my friends.

this coffe maker is awesome
I use it usually several times a day. It makes great coffee and the espresso coffee is also very good. I also use it all the time to make cups of noodles or hot chocolate and the fact that it doesn't have a hot plate technically makes it ok to have if you are in college and live in a dorm.

One of the best pod coffemakers
This is my second Senseo Single-Serve Coffemaker and I am so happy that I also chose the extra large water container as it really does save on refilling every time you make a couple of cups of coffee.
I have never had a problem with either the first or the second coffeemaker. Some reviewers don't care for the flavor of the Senseo Coffee Pods but we like the flavor and haven't had any quests' complaints.
I flush out the coffeemaker every couple of months with vinegar because we have hard water. The only suggestion I would make from my experience in using coffee pods is when I tried to substitute other brand coffee pods that stated they could be used on the Phillips Senseo Coffeemaker, water leaked during the brewing process. I don't know if it was because the pod didn't fit correctly or why it happened. I eventually went back to using the Senseo coffee pods and had no further leaking problems.

Good purchase
Very convenient, however even after flushing it, putting the washable parts in the dishwasher, etc there was a noticeable 'plastic' taste for the first week. It seems to have gone away now but that was disappointing. It's also a bit noisy but a small price to pay for the easy to use features and the speed and ease that I can now make a cup of coffee quickly with no clean-up.

This is our second unit. We had one in our home and also had to have one in our 5th wheel trailer for use on the road away from home (to much trouble moving one around, LOL). Best price we found was here on Amazon.

Great machine
I love my Melitta pod machine. You can use any pod coffee, not just Melitta. The Senseo pods fit in it just fine. Remember that you need to make sure the pod is not hanging over the edge of the pod holder. The machine works great.

Melitta One:One
I like this coffeemaker a lot, but there are a couple of points to know about. (1) it spits coffee onto the counter, even with the spout in the lowest position (Melitta's solution to this problem); (2) the water container is pretty flimsy and I expect the lid to break sooner than I would like; (3) you have to learn how to get the water container seated exactly right and it's a little tricky. if you don't, the machine freaks out and won't brew even when the water is in the right position. when this happened to me I unplugged the unit for a while, and then it worked again. The customer service email in the booklet bounced back (of course), so I would have had to call if I couldn't fix it. That said, I like it and it's a decent single serve coffee maker. The coffee is almost hot enough and the taste is ok, but there isn't much choice in this type of coffee maker and I am happy with mine.

My tea machine - I really like it
I purchased my first one:one machine about 4 years ago. I just bought three more (one for our beach house, one for the office and a spare for at home). I use it every day to make hot tea. As others have stated in the reviews, the water hopper does not hold much water. For one or two people it is ideal for hot tea because it is much quicker than heating a kettle of water. The tea this makes is much better than the microwave. I do not use the Melitta tea bags - they make very bitter tea. I love the Republic of Tea Breakfast Blend in this machine but any round tea bag works like Tetley British Blend. I use bottled water in my machine and you can refill it while it is running if you need to make several cups of tea. Overall I really like this machine!

Questions & Answers
Question : Are there any hot chocolate pods for or compatible to the Senseo Single-Serve Coffee Machine?
I just bought a Senseo machine and I know that there are coffee, cappuccino, and tea pods for this machine. However, I LOVE hot chocolate and I was wondering if I would be able to make any with my new machine?
Answer:
Never as good! we have a coffee maker at work that does several sorts of coffee (no tea, but it does give you hot water to put the tea-bag in) and hot chocolate, but I definitely prefer the homemade stuff. Just put a mug of milk in the microwave (a minute or two til it's good and hot, depending on the "strength") and plunk in some dark chocolate and a sweetener (sugar or honey depending on what you like - I usually use honey before bedtime and sugar in daytime).
Don't do it with the Senseo even if you do find the pods!
Speaking of hot chocolate, I'm going to make me some! Thanks for reminding me!"Hello, I'm Jo and I'm a chocoholic" LOL

Question : Does anyone else have problems with their Tchibo Cafissimo Single Serve Coffee Machine?
I am trying to steam milk with this machine, and it steamed it, but now the steam light will not go out-I now cannot even make coffee to complete the Macciato.
I have tryed letting all of the steam out of the machine, but it still does not let me make coffee too.
Answer:
Most espresso machines need to turned back manually to the coffee mode after using the steamer. Usually there is a button, switch or knob that does this.

Question : I bought a Tassimo Single-Serve coffee machine -?
Where can I get "to-go" paper cups that fit in the machine? I have an office, and I would like to offer my clients some coffee in a nice looking paper cup, preferably with a lid. The Starbucks 'tall" cups are too big...where can i get a variety of sizes of starbucks type cups with lids?
Thanks!
Answer:
i use dixie brand "to go cups" available at target .

Question : Do those single serve coffee machines have a hot plate?
I'm thinking of getting one for my dorm, but we're not allowed to have hot plates, or things with hot plates.
These are the coffee machines where the coffee brews directly into a mug.
I don't mean a detatchable hot plate, the regular coffee makers I've seen heats the pot from the bottom.
This coffee machine doesn't have pods, it has a permanent filter for any kind of coffee and can also be used for soup.
Answer:
Neither the Pod brewers, Keurig K-Cup brewers or Tassimo T-Disc brewers utilize a hot plate and would be perfectly suitable for your dorm room. All of them have an internal heating element to heat the water, but brew directly into a mug.
Which model you choose depend on your preferences and whether you are looking for just straight coffee or also coffee house style drinks like lattes or cappucinos. I would suggest a visit to the Single Serve Coffee forums to learn and read more.

Question : Recommendations on single serve coffee makers? Pods, K-cups, etc?
Our company is switching from Starbucks to a local brewer whose coffee is so weak I cannot even taste it. I want to get a single serve machine to keep in my office. I don't drink coffee every day, but when I do I want it to be tasty.
My last company has Keurig machines, and I never found a coffee that I liked. Any recommendations on other systems? Thanks.
Answer:
Doesn't Folgers make some single serve coffee packet things?<--- Ready to die
|
Question : What's your favorite single-serve coffee maker, and why?
I want to buy a single-serve coffee maker, either pod-style or the little pressure-packets. If you use one, could you please let me know what brand, and what you like and don't like about it? Please don't just put the brand--- I can search brands on the Internet! I want to know if you're happy with your machine and pods, and why. If it broke, would you buy the same one again? Do you like the flavor selection available for your machine?
Money's important of course but I am more interested in getting a really good coffee than I am in saving a buck.
Thanks!!!
Thanks for the answers so far!
But I am really only interested in hearing about pod-style or pressure-pack style coffee makers. I am looking for the convenience factor--- no bean grinding, no water measuring. I want to put the packet in and press the button and be done with it.
Answer:
tassimo, it makes any kind of coffe drink and hot chocolate. fast and easy to clean

Question : Does anyone have a single serve/pod coffee maker?
I'm looking into buying a machine like the Senseo, Tassimo, or Nespresso. If you have one, do you like it? Do you find it restrictive in terms of flavor/taste of coffees? Any feedback would be great. Thanks!
Answer:
I tried the senseo, but now I am back to the traditional Italian Espresso maker that works without electricty.
|
Question : Tassimo coffee in regular coffee makers?
I have seen these single serve coffees in the store and they look great. Is there a way that you can use the coffee in a regular machine?
Answer:
No, they're sealed in special little containers for that specific machine. However you can still get great coffee for a regular coffee machine.
The only reason those little capsules look so good is because of advertising. You can easily get better coffee from somewhere else, especially if you can find someone selling some nice locally roasted stuff.

Question : Coffee???? How in the world do I make a good pot of coffee??
I have given up all hope. If I'm not at work and the ground coffee doesn't come in prepackaged servings and I don't know exactly how much water to add to the machine....I can never make a good pot of coffee.
My mom gave me a 12 cup coffee pot for Christmas. Why I'm not sure because I live alone, but anyway. I only want to make enough coffee for 1 serving. How do i do this?
I have Folgers Classic Roast in Medium (I started out cheap since I didn't trust myself.) The side of the container says "1 serving (6 fl. oz.) / 1 tablespoon of coffee." Yeah....didn't work. I poured in 6 oz of cold water and 1 tablespoon of coffee.....and it sucked.
Help me please. How do I make one good single serving of coffee? What are the measurements? (I like strong coffee, not watered down.)
Answer:
Well it would help if you told us why it sucked. Was it too strong or too weak. Then obviously you adjust either the amount of coffee used or water used, depending on whether you would have preferred it stronger or weaker. Don't worry, you'll figure it out. As for me, I LOVE instant coffee, love to have my water boiling. You may want to try instant, there are some great kinds out there and it may be easier for you!

Question : Made by the same piston machine & beans, what contains more caffeine, a double espresso or a regular coffee?
Oke, so we have the same beans, same grind, same 'per serving' dose, only in the single piston we make a normal, regular, black coffee, and in the double piston we take a double shot, and make a double espresso. Which one would contain more caffeine? I know an espresso contains a lot LESS caffeine than a regular coffee, but does that also count for a DOUBLE espresso?
Answer:
Double Espresso contains double the caffiene so probably ~160 mg of caffiene. I think a regular coffee contains about 100 mg
